Extra Life 25-Hour Charity Marathon
Extra-Life is a Non-Profit Organization which unites gamers from across the nation to participate in a full 25 hour charity marathon to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals. Participants stream a variety of different games (video games, table-top games, etc.) for the full 25 hours and accumulate donations throughout for their hospital of choice. The Full Sail Team participated and acquired donations for the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
The Nov. 3rd Campaign
My involvement with Extra-Life began with a simple email to the Full Sail Extra Life Team. This was only three weeks prior to the Nov. 3rd 25 hour live-stream. Development quickly began to spread awareness through social media and e-mail marketing.
A total of 19 donations were received with a two-week social media campaign to a small, targeted audience redirected to the MrOzzieOswald Extra-Life Page. This resulted in $620 dollars raised which averaged approximately $32.63 per donation, exceeded the initial donation goal by 38%, and ranked in the top 10% of over 48,000 individuals participating in the twenty-five hour stream.
